about

In a monetary system, your entire life, how successful you are, how happy you are, how many opportunities are presented to you, how healthy you will be - will all be predetermined by how much money you were born into.

It's chance. "Luck". Like a flip of a coin toss. Hence the name.

Ever heard of the SES gradient?

How about the model of socioeconomic decline?

Essentially, the poorer you were born, the shittier your entire life will be. There is no contesting this. There is scientific data proving this.

There are poor people because there are rich people. Especially because rich people do practically nothing other than ensure they stay richer than most people.

And poor people have shittier health and shittier education. People with health issues and a lack of knowledge make poor choices to alleviate themselves.

It's probably the most important topic at hand right now. It's the reason Occupy Wallstreet exists. It's the reason you suffer.

You should watch this:

It's discussed in detail in Robert M. Sapolsky's (the gentleman with the beard, the Stanton professor, in that video) book "Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers". It's heavy shit.

That clip is taken from Zeitgeist Moving Forward. Please take the time to watch it here:

lyrics

Numbers on a screen,
And paper coloured green,
(What does it all even mean?)
Shouldn't affect me!

The opportunity,
Presented to me,
(And everybody!)
Is hereditary!

You get a house a car a business,
The only thing I'll inherit is this:
Susceptibility to cancer and a misbehaved dog,
While you're given security in a well-paying job.

A hundred million opportunities just missed,
Financial restraints bind our wrists.
what does your bank account have to do with this?
We have poverty 'cause wealth exists.
Depending on the wealth of the parents,
The quality of life is the greatest expense.
No wife, kids, dog or a white picket fence.
This system makes more dollars than sense.

Raised in this world with hardly a problem,
I have plenty and I can't afford to solve them.
You're handed what you want,
I can't get what I need,
You're rich, I'm broke,
All because of human greed.
To bitch out of jealousy ain't the point the song,
But to show that we know that the system is wrong.
It's survival of the fittest,
Not the fattest or the richest,
We'll adapt to survive,
When the odds are stacked against us.

Heads or tails,
Ain't your call,
Chance and cash,
Decide it all.

One thing you never knew,
And you'll never have a clue.
The joke's on you,
'Cause you don't know what it's like,
To work your fingers to the bone,
Put your nose to the grindstone,
I'll get there on my own,
I don't fucking need you.

And when I succeed,
By my own means,
There's a feeling,
That rings so true,
And I know that's a feeling,
I know that's a feeling that's alien to you.
