There is no fucking excuse for reiterating the same mindless bullshit to capitalize on trends and make a profit. Anyone can play an instrument. Hell, anyone can play an instrument really well, as long as they put some time and effort into it. But to be creative and challenge the status quo? That's fucking art! To compare all of our favourite artists to the bands we rip on in this song is like comparing a canvassed zombie-robot-tentacle-porn painting to a living room wall... painted off-white. There's a time and a place for practicality, and unfortunately due to what the majority of boring, developmentally deficient "adults" define as "normal", there's a fucking market for it. The reason why people make this shitty music is because there is a really easy career waiting for anyone here. We hope to end this soon by pushing self-expression. Music made for the sake of making money, isn't fucking music. Music made from challenging one's own limits and doing justice to the creator's passions is what we need. And let it be known that "Most Albums Sold Worldwide" isn't an accomplishment -- it's a fucking number. Fuck statistics. Create something beautiful. Be true to your fucking self. Seriously. Even if you're a fucking weirdo and there's nobody else out there like you, do what feels right for you with enough passion and conviction and you'll find yourself paving the way for new people. People will take notice if your actions are properly aligned with who you are. The people who succeed in this world aren't the people who say "I'm going to take an electrician's course and get a trade because I can easily make twenty-five bucks an hour as soon as I'm done training." The people who suceed are more along the lines of "Yeah, there's not a lot of money to be made in animal rescue, but I sure do love animals, and helping them out is payment enough!" Success is of the mind, not of the pocket. Figure out WHY people do what they do, and see if you agree with that...
